We have mad respect to those creative people especially our own, who strive daily in their own little power to alter the Ethiopian narrative to the whole wide world. The company we would like to give a shout out to this week is called Jembere. An eyewear company that is headquartered in New York, didn’t lose its heritage calling just because it is located somewhere else. What we love about this company is that it has incorporated the Habesha theme from its brand name to its cleaning cloth made by true artisan from Ethiopia.
Tired of being referred to those who migrated from that famished east African country, creativity and innovation of this sort provide a glimpse of hope for the future. Enough with that narrative already and let us all do our part to move the country and the continent as a whole to a whole new level.
