1. Describe your brand in one sentence?
YOADAN: Organizing for excellence.
- Also our tagline, the sentence encompasses our brand, which represents a team of hardworking, detail-oriented, events enthusiasts who become a living, breathing extension of our clients – providing cutting edge visionary executions and impeccable delivery. ✍🏽

2. What was the turning point that switched your entrepreneurial dream into action?
YOADAN: Flawless Events was launched as a side business that arranged social and corporate events in the greater Washington metropolitan area in the United States, with friends who turned co-founders, as a self-identified much needed response to advance the event experience for guests and organizers alike. Having attended multitude of events by institutions that had plenty of room for improvement, the name was born out of the importance in running seamless events. A few years after, I came back to Ethiopia for vacation 15 years after living abroad, and couldn’t help the feeling of contentment as I drove around Addis Abeba, right here in Ethiopia is where I belong! Many of my friends were always asking – why not explore the events industry in Ethiopia? When a friend of mine asked me to extend my vacation to help host a medical conference, Flawless in Ethiopia was officially born; I rented an office space registered the business and pulled off an extremely successful event, the rest is history. 🧚🏼♀️

3. What is your drive that keeps you going during tough times?
YOADAN: Resilience to adversity. At the core of it all I’m excited with every detail of executing an event. Going through all the little things that make the big picture, I can almost hear the click, click, click, in my head when things connect and translate as per the visions conjured. On the toughest days, my belief that I’m working for something beyond myself and beyond Flawless Events keeps me in the driver’s seat – professionalizing the MICE industry in Ethiopia and in Africa as a whole is my biggest motivation.

4. If you have one piece of advise to someone just starting out, what would it be?
YOADAN: Have clearly defined roles and expectations both for yourself and your team. What do you want your business to look like in the short term? What are your ambitious goals? Then streamline your talent while leveraging your network to showcase why working with you and your business is an advantage.
